Misum Hossain Co-Founder & Vice President
Head of Faculty

The Co-Founder & Vice President as well as Head of Faculty at Global School of Tech Juris is Mr. Misum Hossain, who is one of Eastern India’s foremost Cyber Laws Expert & Analyst specializing in the fields of cyber laws, cyber forensics, intellectual property laws, data protection, domain name disputes and e-commerce laws.

Mr. Hossain has completed his legal education from London (United Kingdom) and since his return to India has worked intensively in the field of IT and IP to create new learning methods, pioneer academic programs and build student friendly course structures in order to put learning and industrial training in a symbiotic relationship.

He has conducted lectures in various colleges, universities and academic organizations across India including ILS College (Pune), Government Law College (Mumbai), Symbiosis Institute for Computer Studies & Research (Pune), National Insurance Academy (Pune), Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College (Gujarat), Bharti Vidya Peeth New Law College (Pune) and Bhawanipore Education Society College (Kolkata) among many others.

He has also conducted seminars on cyber laws and career opportunities in Jogesh Chandra Chaudhari Law College (Kolkata) and Snehangshu Kanta Acharya Institute of Law (SKAIL) under Kalyani University (Kalyani, West Bengal).

Mr. Hossain has also personally supervised training programs on cyber crime prevention, tracking and forensics for members of the Police Training College (Barrackpore) and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID, West Bengal).

In December 2007, Mr. Hossain was invited as Special Guest Speaker by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) to lecture on Cyber Laws Development in Asia in an Information Security Seminar in Kolkata. The event also featured other esteemed guests including the Minister of Information Technology, (Government of West Bengal), members of Microsoft, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Cognizant Technologies, Computer Emergency Response Team India (CERT-IN), Jadavpur University, STQC (Govt. of West Bengal) and Uttar Pradesh Police.

Mr. Hossain has been instrumental in developing several academic and learning programs at Global School of Tech Juris and plays an active part in regular teaching and student interactions at the Kolkata Centre. He has also designed most of the course materials and course structures at Global School of Tech Juris.

Molazzem Hossain Co-Founder & President
Senior Faculty

The Co-Founder & President at Global School of Tech Juris is Mr. Molazzem Hossain, an attorney of the Supreme Court of India and the Calcutta High Court, who specializes in a wide range of practice areas including Property, Municipal, Company, Family, Panchayat, Wakf, Immigration and Technology. Mr. Hossain uses his legal experience of almost three decades to steer the School towards academic success. He has advised and acted for various large and medium sized companies in India and is also on the panel of legal advisors for the Union Bank of India. He also has to his credit the distinction of co-authoring the book “The West Bengal Panchayat Act 1973 & Allied Rules”, a valuable tome for legal professionals working in the field of Panchayat laws. He is also the Honorary Chairman at Lexinsource, a premier Legal Process Outsourcing firm specializing in technology and intellectual property laws offshore services.

Mr. Hossain was deeply concerned about the lack of awareness regarding cyber laws in the eastern region of India, which prompted him to jointly initiate a project that is now known as the Global School of Tech Juris.

“Cyber Laws is an area that is strangely underrated, despite the fact that professionals excelling in this area worldwide are doing quite well for themselves. Electronic commerce, cyber intellectual property and technology crimes, the three integral parts of cyber jurisprudence, will give Indian professionals a new dimension to work with. Further the School’s pioneering programs including the International IP Program as well as the career oriented Legal Skills Training Program both add a definite edge”, adds Mr. Hossain.

Mr. Hossain currently takes lectures on property laws at Global School of Tech Juris for the Legal Skills Training Program.

Kalyan Bhaumik Advocate
Senior Faculty

Mr. Kalyan Bhaumik, an attorney at the Calcutta High Court, is currently Senior Faculty at the School and conducts lectures on family, immigration and banking laws. Mr. Bhaumik, a panel attorney for the U.S. Consulate in Kolkata, has been practicing since 1998 specializing in arbitration, company, immigration, foreign investment and corporate mergers. He is also the Head of Legal Compliance at Lexinsource, a Legal Process Outsourcing firm and advises on legal compliance issues, transactions, legal drafting, taxation, investments, and dispute resolution.

Ms. Fatima Khanom
Manager (UK), International Collaboration & Strategic Alliance Wing

Ms. Fatima Khanom is currently Manager (UK) of the International Collaboration & Strategic Alliance wing of the School and is responsible for initiating and heading collaborative ventures of the School with European academic institutions. Ms. Khanom uses her local contacts and work experience in London to promote the School’s collaborative efforts in London. She has also got extensive experience in teaching having conducted various online lectures and webinars on cyber crimes, computer fundamentals and Internet technology for international students.

She has also used her extensive knowledge in cyber laws, internet technology, networking and online criminal behavioural trends to co-author a book on cyber laws by penning various integral segments on electronic crimes, internet fundamentals and cyber stalking. Certified in intellectual property by the Geneva based World Intellectual Property Organization, Ms. Khanom is also currently researching on the significance of corporate behavioural trends in countering intellectual property infringements and financial losses due to such infringements.

Ms. Khanom is also Vice President (European Operations) at Lexinsource, an international Legal Process Outsourcing firm and is responsible for heading commercial and operational initiatives in the European continent.

Shataroop Purkayastha Advocate
Faculty

Mr. Shataroop Purkayastha, an attorney at the Calcutta High Court, is currently a Visiting Faculty at the School and conducts lectures on criminal laws including legal drafting, court appearance, evidence, case preparation, prosecution and defence strategies, client negotiation, witness questioning as part of the Legal Skills Training Program. Mr. Purkayastha is also experienced in technology crime laws and has been a defence counsel in several cyber crime cases in the city.
